Sun, Dogs and Tractors

Hi all, Stephanie here with a little introduction blog about me and my girls, our half of the Four Hounds Design team.
If you’d told me 5 years ago I would be living in Portugal 🇵🇹 , working from home, learning another language and building my own brand and business I would have laughed in your face, snorted my wine 🍷 , and laughed some more.
Now here I am quickly heading towards my 2 year Portugal anniversary. How did that happen?
It’s honestly such a different way of life here. I’ve gone from slogging 60+ hours a week in retail for minimum wage and living in a busy town in the South East of England to this….
I live at the top of a mountain, I can’t even see my nearest neighbours, let alone hear them! My life has gone from having the latest iPhone and an excessive collection of high heeled shoes to growing my own veg, brewing my own booze and buying tractors 🚜
Madness!
My first dog, Dottie, the springer spaniel came with me from England and was soon joined by a Portuguese rescue (advertised as a cocker spaniel supposedly) who became known as Dash, or meathead. Untrained, very nasty infection and flinching at sudden movements, this sad creature made my life complete. If I were to name my top life passions, dogs would be number 1. It was always going to happen that whatever I did in life, dogs would feature heavily!
So a while ago, along with my good friend Becs and her two boys, the idea was born for Four Hounds. It was a slow burner with lots of learning and training, courses and practice, free websites and marketing but eventually our brand and our business went live.
Four Hounds is an obsession, it’s not a hobby but it’s not a job. It’s a way of life. It’s a way for us to share with the world the unique and bizarre workings of our minds in a way that benefits them and their business through responsive, elegant and stunning websites.
Unashamedly strange, honest, creative, dedicated and passionate. We are unique and we are proud. Get in touch so we can make your vision come alive!
